Some Thoughts on Monday Night’s Fishtown Nonsense

The fallout from George Floyd’s murder spilled into Fishtown last night, where some guys armed with baseball bats stood outside the police station to defend the neighborhood from a reported Antifa gathering, then the situation started to quickly unravel. A WHYY journalist was beaten up and there were some scuffles and tangles with counter-protesters and other neighborhood residents.
There’s way too much to type, but I live two blocks from where this entire thing started, so I just recorded a video with some thoughts:
