Report: Phillies Visiting Clubhouse Staffer is COVID Positive

More tidbits crossing the timeline on a Tuesday morning.

After multiple reports that no Phillies players or coaches are COVID-19 positive, Bob Nightengale is here with some information on a visiting clubhouse staffer:

These staffers, who were in and around the Marlins’ clubhouse during the weekend series, were quarantined Monday.

Good news though with Nightengale adding another layer of confirmation to the negative status of players and coaches, who should be busing up to New York for Wednesday’s game, which was reported by Jim Salisbury and addressed by manager Joe Girardi on MLB Network Radio:

Here’s where we are right now:

  1. tonight’s game postponed
  2. one visiting clubhouse attendant COVID positive
  3. zero players/coaches positive
  4. another saliva test today
  5. get results and then perhaps get on the bus to the Bronx

Nightengale also reported this, which seems incredibly weird:
