Jose Alvarez Goes on Injured List with Testicular Contusion

God bless Jose Alvarez, who took a line drive straight to the balls on Thursday, threw the guy out at first base, and then collapsed to the grass.

He’s now on the IL with a “testicular contusion” –

The Phillies have placed LHP Jose Alvarez on the 10-day IL with a testicular contusion and have recalled LHP JoJo Romero from Lehigh Valley. (Feel for ya, Josey)

Much respect, seriously. A lesser man would have crumpled to the ground upon contact, but the fact that he was able to complete the play is awesome. He is truly a blue collar, lunch pail guy.
