Let's Talk About this Flyers Banned Media List
We’re a little late to the party on this story, but while scrolling through Twitter today stumbled upon an interesting tweet from Natalie Egenolf.
In a two-part and mostly facetious message, Nat Egg, who works alongside #1 hockey hater Mike Missanelli, alleges that zero Flyers fans called 97.5 the Fanatic after the game one loss to New York. Then she mentions a mysterious “ban list” –
Maybe you should write your list on a mirror and take a good look at yourself while writing it. I am very disappointed. In you. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

In a response to Egenolf, Jason Myrtetus confirms that the station did indeed receive zero Flyers calls on Monday night, but explained that most fans have sought alternatives because local sports radio never does jack shit on the team anyway, which is 100% true. Why, as a Flyers fan, would I call a station that has made zero commitment to the sport, other than to tell me why nobody cares about it? That’s why Snow the Goalie and other podcasts do really well, because they satisfy a demand.
Anyway, that’s not important. What’s important is the list, which we think was compiled by a random fan, containing more than two dozen names of local media and Twitter personalities who are NOT ALLOWED to celebrate the Flyers’ postseason success:
Thoughts?
The good thing is that Crossing Broad is not on the list. Ant San is a dedicated Flyers writer, and occasionally Russ contributes something worthwhile. We’re good.
As for the rest of the names on the list, we will be contacting them individually to see if they’d like to dispute their inclusion and profess their love for the orange and black.
Go Flyers.
