NHL Player Says He Was Punched in Face for Talking About Voting Republican
Logan Couture. Great player for the San Jose Sharks. Two-time All Star selection, big contract.
He went on Twitter this morning and said that he was punched for talking about voting Republican:

For starters, Couture is not American. He’s Canadian, an Ontario native. He mentioned in a follow-up tweet that he doesn’t vote and said “I mentioned my father being a former police officer. I really don’t believe this is the world we live in.”
There wasn’t much in terms of clarification, but he did say this:
Dude, I’m Canadian. I don’t have a vote in the election. I only talked about what the Republicans may bring in the election. That was it. Punched right in the face

Couture went on to say that he he’s not even a Trump supporter, before adding this:
“I’ll never talk politics in public again. Just crazy to me, if you speak your own opinion violence happens. Even crazier, people are okay with it.”
Weird story.
2020, folks. What a year.
