Report: "Unlikely" NHL Changes Position on Thursday's Games
Prior to last night’s Bruins/Lightning game, the NHL showed a graphic on the jumbotron reading “End Racism,” before going into a brief speech from the PA announcer and then holding a moment of silence.
No postponements from the NHL, while other sports paused as players boycotted their games.
According to Darren Dreger, it seems like today’s games will continue as planned:
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA Exec Dir, Don Fehr spoke yesterday and it’s expected there will be a number of discussions between the NHL/NHLPA and players today. Unlikely the NHL changes it’s position unless driven by players.

We all know there aren’t a lot of black hockey players (breaking news), so if anything is “driven by players” then a decision to boycott would have to be spurred by white dudes, half of which are Canadian or European. The NHL demographics are just different.
As of right now, the Flyers are scheduled to play at 7 p.m., then it’s Knights/Canucks at 9:45 p.m. We’ll set the odds at both games being played at -135.
