Pederson’s diagnosis highlights the challenges the NFL will face as it ramps up preparations for the 2020 season. Unlike its counterparts in the NHL and NBA, the NFL will not be operating with the safety net of a bubble to prevent the spread of the virus.
McManus noted in his report that Pederson will not be able to return to the NovaCare Complex until he has “multiple negative tests” for the virus.
