Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?

Dwayne Johnson says the pandemic-flattened XFL is making a return in the Spring of 2022, and if you don’t like it, he’ll drop The People’s Elbow on your roody-poo, candy ass:

Quick refresher:

The XFL 2.0 was off to a pretty good start back in the spring, then COVID-19 came in and completely crushed the league, which was forced to fold for a second time. Commissioner Oliver Luck sued Vince McMahon and then The Rock came in with a $15 million dollar co-purchase to revive the nascent endeavour in a third effort at non-NFL professional football. That transaction took place just before a planned auction was scheduled to begin.

XFL ratings started well enough, then began to drop around week five. They did pretty well with fan attendance, pulling about 18,500 folks per game, and saw a pretty impressive turnout in St. Louis, which no longer has an NFL team after the stinky Rams moved back to Los Angeles.

Personally, I’m pulling for Johnson and the XFL. I hope he takes the doubters down to Know Your Role boulevard, which is on the corner of Jabroni Drive, and checks them directly into the Smackdown Hotel!
