We’ll get it back to Carson Wentz rumors in a moment, but the big story on Action News takes us to Atlantic City, where the Trump Plaza was just demolished.

Here’s the video of the 34-story tower being imploded:

The building has stood empty since 2014, but operated for 30 years before closing down. It was bought by Icahn Enterprises, according to the Courier-Post:

At the height of casino-resort development here, the city had more than a dozen casinos. It now has nine and the mayor and other officials are eyeing family and non-gaming attractions to grow the city’s appeal.

Icahn Enterprises has not announced a redevelopment or sale plan for the Plaza property between Columbia and Mississippi avenues, but Small said the city expect to meet with Icahn representatives in the future.

Anyway, the whole thing is pretty cool. Implosions don’t happen very often, so they tend to be big stories in the region. This is a significant moment for Atlantic City, which has struggled in recent years and is in a transitional phase. It’s being seen as a “historic” kind of event down there, a positive clearing of some valued space along the boardwalk.

You know it’s a big deal when “Implosion Man” shows up to watch the tower come down:

Good morning.

Edit –

Here’s a better angle, shared from my former CBS 3 colleague Josh Crompton, who is a dirty NYG fan. A total poseur:
