Wentz Watch 2021: Colts Reportedly "Aren't Budging"
We need a brand for all of these assorted Carson Wentz rumors and reports.
Any suggestions? I’m partial to the following:
- Leakage Wars
- Leverage Wars
- Wentz Watch 2021
Let me know what you prefer and we’ll go with that moving forward. All Carson Wentz stories will be labeled as such on the website.
Here’s another tidbit from an Indy writer:
While it's been quiet, Eagles and Colts have continued trade talks for Carson Wentz. One important aspect of this, I'm told, is Indy hasn't significantly changed its offer from where it started more than a week ago. For the most part, Colts aren't budging.

I don't know what the Bears will do, but if Wentz prefers Indy — which it sure seems like he does — that gives the Colts added leverage. If the Eagles are waiting for a monster offer, like the two 1s they asked for at the start, that won't come from the Colts.

Wait – so the Indy reporter has the information coming from Indy? And the Eagles reporters have the information coming from Philly? What are the chances!
What we’re seeing right now is a fascinating case study on negotiating through the media. The push and pull of leverage. Attempting to shape the narrative surrounding the inevitable trade of a superstar. We should save all of these stories and reports and make them the centerpiece of a college journalism class, which could be taught for many years to come. We’ll call it “Media Leaking 101: Introduction to Leverage.” The textbook will be 700 pages and cost $400. Courses now being offered at Temple, Rowan, and Penn State – Berks.
