Villanova Opens As a Solid Favorite Over Winthrop

Not a great draw for Villanova, who looked like they were en route to a one seed or two seed earlier in the season. They’ve sputtered to the finish, losing three of their last four games. All of this is made worse by the loss of senior points guard Collin Gillespie to an MCL tear.

Facing Winthrop puts Villanova on the wrong side of the 5-12 matchup. Often, teams are either ascending or descending into the 5 spot… and Villanova is, well, dropping like a rock.

Drexel A 22 Point Underdog to Illinois

Drexel has arguable the toughest draw of the tournament, facing off against one seed Illinois. They are the second biggest underdog on the board at 22 points.
