“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,

Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore –

While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,

As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door –

Only this and nothing more.”

Any Edgar Allen Poe fans out there? That’s from his uber-famous poem, “The Raven.”

Figured we’d do a cheeky intro here since the Eagles just went out and signed a Raven of their own, but not a Baltimore Raven. Or Poe’s Raven. They signed Le’Raven Clark, who played for Nick Sirianni in Indy:

I watched this guy play in college. He was a first team all Big 12 performer for Texas Tech during the period where they went from Seth Doege to Baker Mayfield to Davis Webb and then Patrick Mahomes.

In the NFL, he’s been about average. Played 47 games for the Colts, re-signed prior to last season, and then started three games before tearing his Achilles in week 13. He can give the Birds some depth on the line and push for a spot in camp.
