So I go over to our social media pages and see this post.

It’s asking which spot has the best pizza at the Jersey Shore, and these are the options:

If we’re keeping it real here, the answer is none of the above. Because boardwalk pizza is meh.

First of all, people are more in love with the idea of boardwalk pizza than the actual pizza itself. You go to your spot in your town of choice because you went there as a kid and your parents have always been going there. It’s what you do, but nobody even thinks about why they do it. It’s this idyllic picture of summer nostalgia and tradition and it apparently must include mediocre food.

And in general, who is eating pizza when it’s 90 degrees and sunny in the middle of the day? You’re on the beach, sweating your butt off, the last thing anybody should want is hot pizza. The shore is for water ice and seafood and fudgie wudgies. It’s not for pizza. You can get infinitely better pizza anywhere around Philadelphia for the nine months of the year that you’re not visiting the shore.

I know I’m gonna get ripped for this, but whatever. All boardwalk pizza is overrated. You only eat it because it’s a family/tradition/’I went here in my youth’ type of thing.
