Russ and Coggin are the resident wrestling experts at Crossing Broad.

But I’ll pick up the occasional story of importance, like when Irwin R. Schyster shared tax tips for all of you dead beat cheaters out there. Quit your crying and pay what’s due, or IRS will audit you.

Here’s another story of importance, and it’s about this incident from Wednesday night’s AEW broadcast (warning, graphic footage here):

Amazing. He slices open Chris Jericho with the pizza cutter. Then we go double-box to a Domino’s Pizza COMMERCIAL where a guy is slicing up a hot, three-topping pizza. That’s crazy! (as the guy from the Jim Sipala Kia commercials says).

Domino’s, however was not amused.

The company issued a statement essentially distancing themselves from the incident, as reported by Front Office Sports:

The fast food giant might also pull its advertising schedule from AEW, which airs Wednesday nights on WarnerMedia’s TNT network.

Domino’s was not involved, nor had any foreknowledge, of the gory scene on the “AEW: Dynamite” main event Wednesday night that showed wrestler Nick Gage apparently slicing Chris Jericho’s head open with a pizza cutter, spokeswoman Jenny Fouracre-Petko told FOS Thursday night.

“We share the concerns expressed about this incident and the content of this TV-14 rated program, and are assessing our advertising presence on it going forward,” said Fouracre-Petko.

From now on, we might have to stick with more wholesome wrestling bits. Less pizza cutter slicing, more suplexing. Less blood, more dancing to the YMCA with the Blue Meanie, aka Brian Heffron.
