Joy Taylor Abusing Hyperbole with this Terrible Take
This video clip comes from a First Things First episode that took place before the Birds’ Thursday night game.
It features Joy Taylor, of all people, saying some goofy stuff about the Eagles Jalen Hurts:
"I have never seen a team fumble the bag more spectacularly or more quickly than the Philadelphia Eagles. What a fall from grace."

Thoughts:
- The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have a “quarterback competition” because they have Patrick Mahomes. The Bucs have Tom Brady and the Bills have Josh Allen. Jalen Hurts is a second-year guy who hasn’t earned or proven anything.
- Hurts took first team reps throughout the entirety of camp, which means… he was the first team guy this entire time!
- Joe Flacco was not brought in to be a starter. Everybody knows this.
- The Eagles aren’t a “disaster.” It’s not a “fall from grace.” Holy hyperbole. They’re in a transition year. It happens in the NFL.
It’s a weird take. Why is Joy Taylor giving hot takes anyway? The Birds don’t have to name a second-year player with four career starts as their QB1. Jalen Hurts is not Russell Wilson. He’s got a lot to prove, and he took a good step in the limited amount of time he played on Thursday night.
I feel like Clark Griswold. Holy shit, where’s the Tylenol?
