Joy Taylor Abusing Hyperbole with this Terrible Take

This video clip comes from a First Things First episode that took place before the Birds’ Thursday night game.

It features Joy Taylor, of all people, saying some goofy stuff about the Eagles Jalen Hurts:

Thoughts:

  1. The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have a “quarterback competition” because they have Patrick Mahomes. The Bucs have Tom Brady and the Bills have Josh Allen. Jalen Hurts is a second-year guy who hasn’t earned  or proven anything.
  2. Hurts took first team reps throughout the entirety of camp, which means… he was the first team guy this entire time!
  3. Joe Flacco was not brought in to be a starter. Everybody knows this.
  4. The Eagles aren’t a “disaster.” It’s not a “fall from grace.” Holy hyperbole. They’re in a transition year. It happens in the NFL.

It’s a weird take. Why is Joy Taylor giving hot takes anyway? The Birds don’t have to name a second-year player with four career starts as their QB1. Jalen Hurts is not Russell Wilson. He’s got a lot to prove, and he took a good step in the limited amount of time he played on Thursday night.

I feel like Clark Griswold. Holy shit, where’s the Tylenol?
