Ben Simmons: Team Huddle Non Participation-Gate

From Monday’s practice session in Camden:
Although Doc Rivers tells me the “chemistry” with @BenSimmons25 and his teammates is getting better everyday, I can tell you he did NOT put his hand in the team huddle to end practice and stayed in the back before immediately exiting the court while others stay out shooting pic.twitter.com/i2sBAoEHO2

Simmons will talk to the media on Tuesday. Will he be open and honest? Or is he just there so he won’t get fined? We’ll find out soon.
RE: Ben’s participation in practice, Rich Hofmann tweeted the following:
“Probably worth noting that as the team runs through some of New Orleans’ sets and how they’ll defend them, it’s Maxey running with the 1s.”
Rich says Simmons also was not working with the second team during this exercise.
My take has always been that he just showed up to stop losing money. He wants out, and the Sixers are better off trading him anyway. Trading him was the right move even before the hold out. Hopefully this charade will soon be over and we can talk about basketball again.
