Parents Believe NJ High School Hazing Incident Involved Sodomy Attempt
Ever been to Wall Township, New Jersey? Apparently it’s near Asbury Park. Looks like Central Jersey, but apparently Central Jersey does not exist, so we’ll call it North Jersey.
At NJ.com, Matthew Stanmyre writes about the local high school there, which is in the news for a hazing investigation involving a stick of some sorts:
The hazing allegations within the Wall High School football program involve roughly six older players swarming and attempting to pin down a younger player in the locker room as pleas to stop echo in the background, according to two parents of students in the school district who observed a video clip of one of the incidents.
One of the players involved in the attack is holding a mop or broom stick, the parents said.
Although the clip observed by the parents does not explicitly show sodomy, the parents said they believe that was the attempt being made by the older players. In the video, the younger player is fighting back as older players converge on him, the parents said.
So… the parents think the older football players were trying to shove the stick up the younger player’s rear end. That is pretty messed up. I don’t think our football team did stuff like that back in 2001, and there were some pretty messed up dudes on that Boyertown squad.
Stanmyre notes that the district opened an investigation, and that because we’re dealing with juveniles here, pretty much everything is confidential. The video clip in question has not gone public, and probably will not. Sounds like we’re not gonna get much more until this thing is resolved.
