DeVonta Smith in a Three-Point Stance is Pretty Good

Brian Baldinger somehow has access to the all-22 film before we do, probably because he’s a respected former professional and we’re running a sports blog.
But he pulled a pretty funny clip last night of a goal line sequence that I didn’t even notice, with DeVonta Smith lined up next to Jordan Mailata in a three-point stance. Smith is listed at 6’0, 170 pounds and Mailata is 6’8″, 365 pounds. That creates a pretty funny juxtaposition:

Not much of a block, but a goofy and funny wrinkle there from Nick Sirianni. He mixed it up last night. Showed some 13-personnel and orbit motion, a couple of split-back sets and some pre-snap motion and misdirection. He’s really grown as a play caller and designer in year #1, along with Shane Steichen, we presume, and it’s enjoyable to watch.
