Rodney McLeod checking in:

And Big Play Slay:

Slay went on to say that the “PA (players association) weak AF,” with ‘AF’ meaning “as fuck,” for all of you folks out there who might not be familiar with the abbreviation. Allow a “geriatric millennial” to interpret.

So yeah, the players aren’t happy about it. Other Eagles quote tweeted McLeod and Slay, or just dropped a couple of emojis in annoyance. They feel the same way you do. They feel like this is a rip off, that they’re being punished for stuff they had no hand in. They now have to sit for 48 hours longer coming off the bye week, then turn around and play New York on short rest. These are the same issues we were having last year, when outbreaks on other teams were screwing up the calendar for everybody else.

And then there’s the fan component. I’ve talked to people who made plans for Sunday and had tickets and all of that. Now they aren’t sure they can make Tuesday night. It blows.

We can point out the inconsistencies with what the NFL said it was going to do (hold individual teams accountable) and what they are actually doing (postponing), but at the end of day we’re still dealing with a fluid situation here. We haven’t done a pandemic in this lifetime, so we’re still trying to figure it all out. It is what it is. All the Birds gotta do is channel that frustration into a Tuesday night walloping of the Warshington Football Team. This will not be Joe Webb 2.0.
