You knew sports radio was going to have a banner week with Gardner Minshew playing well on Sunday.

Sure enough, on 94 WIP with Joe Giglio last night, Larry checked in from Northeast Philly with a saucy take on Minshew:

Similarities between Joe Montana and Gardner Minshew? Well, they’re both white. They’re both taller than 6’0″. That’s all I can really think of.

Montana won four Super Bowls and was a 3x Super Bowl MVP. He made eight Pro Bowls, threw 273 touchdown passes, and and crested 40,000 career passing yards. He’s in the Hall of Fame and writing out the list of his individual accomplishments would double the length of this story.

MAYBE Minshew is the next Montana, but we highly doubt it.
