Former Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins is retiring:

What a career on and off the field for Malcolm Jenkins. He was the heartbeat and defensive leader of that Eagles Super Bowl team. He never missed a game in six seasons and was one of the best free agent signings in Eagles history. Every time he talked people would listen, but nobody listened more than during his speech right after the win:

He also clocked Brandin Cooks and took a valuable weapon away from Tom Brady early in the game:

Off the field, Malcolm Jenkins gave back to charity and fought for social justice more than any Eagles player I can remember:

Malcolm Jenkins was an awesome dude. A dude who was easy to root for on and off the field because he led by example on both fronts. He stared at the face of adversity like he stared into a QB’s soul on 4th and goal with the game on the line. He was a leader for people who didn’t have a voice in the Eagles locker room and the NFL, setting up a command post out of Philly to handle issues like the national anthem protests, BLM, and social justice. The world would be a way better place if everyone had even 10% of Malcolm Jenkins’ character.
