NFL Owners Unanimous in Vote to Fix the Horrendous Overtime Rules
The Eagles have been pushing for a change to the NFL overtime rules for a few years now, and FINALLY we have arrived:
Sources: NFL owners have passed the Indy/Philly overtime proposal allowing for both teams to have a possession for playoffs only.

Okay, so it’s PLAYOFFS ONLY, but progress nonetheless. Now we have eliminated the possibility of Patrick Mahomes going down the field and scoring while Josh Allen sits on the sidelines and never sees the field. We’ve eliminated the possibility of Tom Brady scoring and Mahomes not getting a chance to respond. It was always a terrible and unbalanced rule that put too much stake in a coin flip. Unfortunately the “just get a stop” crowd lost the debate.

29 to 3 was the vote. Not the original Eagles/Colts thing, but maybe it will extend fully to the regular season in the future. We’re getting there. One step at a time. This is an improvement.
