Possible scandal here.

Howard “The King” Eskin is at the NFL’s annual league meeting. Howie Roseman spoke to media today and Howard began streaming the availability on Twitter, but his video cuts off after 21 seconds when a MYSTERIOUS PERSON tells him not to put the footage out there:

“You’re (gonna??) record the video, but don’t put it out.”

Now if I had to guess, that’s Eagles PR. It doesn’t sound like any beat that I recognize. Could be top media relations guy Bob Lange, who came back to the team about a year ago.

If you noticed, the Eagles are not streaming this media availability with Howie. Usually when you have gatherings like this that aren’t broadcasted by the team, the scribes get some unique and partially exclusive quotes because the thing isn’t blasted out on social media immediately, for a million people to see. There’s some stuff they can tweet and/or hold for stories later. This doesn’t happen very often because mostly everything is streamed now.

I’m not 100% CERTAIN that this was the case here, but I think perhaps they were annoyed that Howard was fucking it up for the other scribes. That’s me putting on my admittedly rusty beat hat and using context clues. But I’m on team Howard for this one, because Eagles fans wanna hear from Howie Roseman and THE KING is delivering for the fans, like he always does. He works harder than anyone else in Philly sports.

Regardless, the question remains. Who is the mystery man? We demand answers. Who told Howard “don’t put it out”? We gotta know!

EDIT –

We have a picture of the group here. We should be able to look at shoes here and match them to Howard’s video to determine the identity of mystery man:
