Angel Hernandez's Ump Scorecard is as Bad as Expected
Honey wake up! New Angel Hernandez Ump Scorecard just dropped! (via @umpscorecards) –
Who in the league office can look at the “All Missed Calls” section and think this guy should be behind the plate? I’ve seen mask mandates in Philadelphia with more consistency:
Two out of the three most impactful missed calls affected the Phillies. The funniest one had to be Jean Segura taking a strike six inches inside and just turning to Hernandez and saying “No. No. No. No.”:

Would you believe me if I told you Angel Hernandez has missed 2,600 balls and strikes in seven years? Cause it’s true:
Ángel Hernández has missed over 2,600 balls and strikes calls in the last seven years and oh how I wish I was kidding. https://t.co/vyF86ULGTQ

That’s 371 calls a year for a guy who’s not even behind the plate 162 times a season.
