The Maestro is still working on the Jay Wright shock retirement day-after post. Not sure if it’ll be done today or what, but we requested that he come out of his own writing retirement to pen the tribute.

I guess nobody thought anything of it at the time because “I get to say it one last time” could be interpreted as the “last time” this season. That’s why the quote probably slid without any second guessing.

Props to Jay Wright for going out on top. No farewell tour. No “look at me” fancy shit. Just walking away from the game at age 60. Good for him.
