Sixers news:

Bobby Marks says he’ll lose about 30 grand in game pay. That’s quite a bit of money! Enough to pay J.B. Bickerstaff’s fine for crying about fouls two times over.

As you know, Canada has different COVID rules than we do, so it’s pretty easy to put two and two together here.

Here’s a relevant blurb from SportsNet:

The news comes after the 76ers, along with the Boston Celtics, did not confirm that their entire roster is vaccinated as the game is Philadelphia’s first since Canada required all visitors to be vaccinated.

Though Thybulle’s vaccination status is unclear, the rule will remain in place regardless for any team who visits Toronto.

Matisse has twice be in the COVID protocol this season. If the Sixers get the Raptors in the 4/5 game, he’d miss games 3, 4, and 6, if the series goes that long. The Sixers can beat Toronto without Thybulle, but they’re thin on depth to begin with, and even though Matisse hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire lately, you can always use a bouncy wing who can defend in the playoffs.

I’m sure more will come out on this story tonight and tomorrow morning. In the meantime, cue the speculation! Let’s speculate.
