Sunday Night Nonsense Results in Suspensions for Buck Showalter and Yoan Lopez
There was some nonsense taking place in Sunday night’s Phillies/Mets game, and now suspensions have been handed out:
News: Mets manager Buck Showalter has been suspended for tonight's game as a result of what MLB deemed Yoan López intentionally throwing at Kyle Schwarber last night. López has also been suspended three games.

This happened in the top of the ninth, one inning after Francisco Lindor was hit. Lopez didn’t actually hit Schwarber, but both benches were warned, and then he went on to hit Alec Bohm with a curveball one batter later.

Mets fans have been bitching because they have more hit batters than anyone else in MLB, but it’s not like it’s intentional. Come on. Nobody gives enough of a shit about the Mets to want to hit their players on purpose. As Kendrick Perkins says, “carry the hell on…”
