Super-Lame Ejection at IronPigs Game

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are 25-23 this year. Not amazing, but not bad either. They just played six in a row against Worcester at home, losing four of those, and in the one game there was an absolutely ridiculous ejection:
I have never in my life seen anything like this.
Lehigh Valley’s Yairo Munoz walked to load the bases, as he tosses down his shin guard it rolls back and hits the umpire in the foot and the umpire tosses Munoz. The umpire then tells the manager Munoz threw the shin guard at him https://t.co/FxNrFtysTA pic.twitter.com/tqmjEgJ4Q5

Alright. So you can see Munoz bending down and he turns his head there. Certainly looks like something was said to the ump. But when he tosses the shin protector it clearly hits the ground, then it does a half-roll and looks to land on the ump’s foot. Oh no! Ump becomes really offended by this and ejects Munoz from the game.
Clearly there’s some passive-aggressiveness in this exchange. Munoz is probably annoyed that he was walked with two runners on base, but only an insecure ump is ejecting the guy because a piece of gear rolls onto his foot. You’re not supposed to touch the ump or whatever, but this is goofy. Umps have to be above that kind of shit. Just let it go and move on to the next play. I reffed youth soccer and wanted to strangle the parents half the time (because they don’t know the rules), but you gotta learn restraint. This is why people get annoyed with umpires, because they make it all about themselves.
The hard-working people of the great Lehigh Valley paid to watch baseball, not see some hardo take the spotlight. It’s an Umpshow:
