Brian Westbrook and Lesley Van Arsdall Co-Authored a Children's Book
Do you even read bro?
Let’s get it back to literature.
Eagles legend Brian Westbrook teamed up with former Philly sports and news anchor Lesley Van Arsdall on a children’s book:

Here’s a book description from the Free Library’s event page:
“In their illustrated children’s book, Brian Westbrook Sr. and Lesley Van Arsdall tell the story of a determined little critter named Brian who overcomes his small size to become a star in the Mouse Football League.”
Based on a true story! I dig it. B West came out of Villanova as an underdog. Undersized, from a small school, having missed time in college due to injury. The rest, as they say, is history. He became a two-time Pro Bowler and went into the Eagles Hall of Fame.
Here’s a little bit more from Temple Press:
After spending hours reading to her kids, Lesley Van Arsdall wanted to write a children’s book to inspire her children and teach kids valuable lessons about hardwork and perseverance.
“I’m so proud to have this book,” said Van Arsdall, co-author of “The Mouse Who Played Football” and former CBS3 sports anchor. “I well up at the end, I mean, I’ve read this thing a million times and I just love it. I love the message and I just love what it says to kids.”
On Jan. 14, Temple University Press, Temple’s publishing body, announced that they will be publishing “The Mouse Who Played Football” by Brian Westbrook and Van Arsdall. The book will be released in July and half of the profits will go to nonprofits dedicated to helping children.
This is cool. I’ve spent at least a full month of my life reading to my daughters. If I have to read Raggedy Ann one more time I’m gonna dive into an acid vat. Suffice to say, I will be ordering The Mouse who Played Football, 1. to support a former co-worker and 2. to add variety to the library.
