NBC Sports Philadelphia in the Driver’s Seat for Typo of the Year

NBC Sports Philadelphia posted a Facebook recap of the Phillies’ Wednesday night blow out.

Good editing here, nice highlight melt, but when Odubel Herrera comes up we get the typo of the year:

“Two innings later, Odubel Herrera joins the home run fun… this a solo shit, 5-0!” 

Wait he took a solo shit? Well I’d hope so, because it would be weird if someone else was in the bathroom with you.

Gotta feel bad for the poor soul who published this without noticing. And the person who wrote it. To be fair, however, the “O” and “I” are right next to each other on the keyboard, so it’s easy to type “SHIT” instead of “SHOT.” We’ve all been there before. It’s kind of like the “X” and the “C” being right there and you mean to say “hang on one sec” but you type “hang on one sex” and then quickly fire off a follow up text message to correct yourself.

NBC Sports Philadelphia needs to roll with this. Have a laugh. The Phillies are winning. They are fun again. Odubel is joining in with solo shits. Go Phils!
