94 WIP Caller Asks if Phillies Should Trade Kyle Schwarber
This is low-hanging fruit, but it’s a summer Friday and Anthony, Russ, and Bob took care of the Flyers and Phillies stuff already.
So here’s a 94 WIP morning show caller, Oliver in Ocean City, asking if the Phillies should trade Kyle Schwarber:
Oliver went on to say that the Phillies aren’t getting enough power from Castellanos and “Realmuso.”
But to his original thought, if I had to go way out on a limb here, I’d say the Phillies probably will not be trading Kyle Schwarber, who currently has 27 home runs and 56 RBI. He’s slugging .545 with a .875 OPS and over his last 10 games has seven homers, 14 RBI, and 11 hits. He’s doing all of this as the lead off guy on a Bryce Harper-less team and if the postseason began today, the Phillies would be the third wild card club.
Too much sun for Oliver in Ocean City! Get this man some aloe vera and a nap.
