Yea I’ll be watching this. It’s basically Ted Lasso, but Van Wilder and Mac own the soccer team. Is this the equivalent of Charlie finding the golden ticket? A club with a history of financial troubles and bad finishes is bought up by two Hollywood mega-stars who decide they want to buy a soccer team in the middle of nowhere and pump money into it for new training facilities. It’s like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory except their Charlie huffs glue and is King of the Rats.

You ever watch something set in some sleepy town in the UK and wish you grew up there? Your days consist of working at the plant then tying one on at the local pub passing the time until gameday. It looks so simple, it probably isn’t, but it looks like it. I guess the equivalent for most would be working in your cube trying to pass the time until another Eagles Sunday. There’s no better feeling than waking up on a Sunday, throwing your jersey on, and heading down to tailgate. No more shitty boss for two days, Excel spreadsheets, and small talk with coworkers you have nothing in common with. You earned it.
