Beer news right here:

Good stuff, other than the beer being an IPA. Why does everything have to be an IPA?

Anyway, this is similar to the “Zooisms” beer that Conshy did back in January. You may recall they did the limited-edition hazy that featured Marc Zumoff’s likeness and had all of his catchphrases incorporated into the can artwork. That was a similar charity release where a portion of the proceeds went to Philly Youth Basketball. I went down to Puddler’s Kitchen in Bridgeport and got a four pack.

I have never heard of “First Tee” before, but apparently it’s a program that teaches kids life lessons via the game of golf:

“We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.”

Great idea. I can get down with any limited-edition beer release that sends money to charity. Maybe if I do enough promotion for Glen and Conshy then I’ll get my own charity beer one of these days. We’ll call it “The Kinker Bock,” a quintessential dark lager that goes heavy on flavor. All proceeds will go toward refilling my childcare-ravaged bank account.
