Kind of an underrated story here.

If you listen to sports talk radio in Philadelphia, have you noticed that the Joe Cordell (of Cordell and Cordell) commercials kind of died off? You don’t hear them as often as you used to. Maybe they are only airing in Missourah or Illinois.

Filling the void is the FISHER INVESTMENTS commercial, which I’ve heard at least 7,000 times through the first ten days of August:

The “nope” gets me every time. This lady should be doing voiceovers for a British TV series. She’s so smooth. What a set of pipes on Judith Abrams.

“We do better when our clients do better.”

This particular commercial doesn’t have the same exact language as the radio bit, but if I gotta hear “we’re a fiduciary” one more time, I’m gonna drive my truck down the Lansdale train tracks. Fisher’s advertising people have put on a full court press that would make Bob Huggins proud.

Full disclosure: I’ve been trying to set up an interview with Joe Cordell of Cordell and Cordell since 2018. We made it as far as sending over a list of questions ahead of time, which I’d typically never do, but would absolutely compromise my journalistic integrity for Joe. After that, PR stopped responding, then I learned the guy quit and left for a new job, and now they appear to have a firm running things for them and they don’t respond to us either. We really want to get Joe Cordell on Crossing Broadcast or do a Q/A with him. He is a Philly cult figure and the people wanna hear from him.

If we can’t him, that’s okay. His attorneys in our state may speak with us. Michelle Ferreri, licensed in New Jersey and Pennsyvlania. Offices in Radnor and Philadelphia.
