Earlier this week, WIP producer Jack Fritz ripped me for going after the callers on the Marks and Reese show. I responded on Tuesday morning, then on the very next show I got hammered by Chuck from Mt. Airy and Mad Mike, who told me to kiss his butt.

The next logical step is for us to officially request that WIP management puts limitations on how often people can call the station. We have created a petition asking them to bring back former program director Tom Bigby’s “once per week, once on the weekends” rule, which would mean that Andy from Deptford and other dopes can’t call Angelo Cataldi and Jonny Marks in the same day. It’s ridiculous. No one needs to hear from Andy twice in the span of 12 hours.

I wrote the following blurb for our petition:

On Wednesday, August 10th, Andy from Deptford called the Sports Radio 94 WIP morning show.

Problem is, we heard from Andy less than 24 hours prior, when he called Jon Marks and Ike Reese in the afternoon. Nobody needs to hear from Andy on P.M. drive AND A.M. drive.

What we have here is caller oversaturation. Rapidly diminishing returns. Too frequent are the appearances from Andy, Chuck from Mt. Airy, Mad Mike, Eagles Shirley, O.G. Wade, and Herb from the Northeast, among others.

Therefore, we, the loyal listeners of WIP, are requesting that station leaders reinstall former program director Tom Bigby’s “once per week, once on the weekends” rule, which limits guests to two calls per week. We believe this will eliminate redundancy and diversify the caller base at the same time, providing for a more enjoyable experience.

Please join me in this effort. Sign the petition. Make your voices heard. Power to the people!
