The Phillies Broadcast on Tuesday Night Was Great
NBC Sports Philadelphia put the Phils broadcast crew out in left field on Tuesday night.
I’ve had recent beef with the production crew, but when you crush it I’ll be the first one to admit it. That’s called integrity, folks. Not many people have it nowadays. Top to bottom, it was entertaining. This could’ve gone off the rails fast, especially when the Phillies went down 3-0. I was half expecting Ben Davis to catch a bucket of crab fries off that exquisitely sculpted square dome of his if the Phils didn’t show life. Luckily, they got their shit together. It didn’t hurt that Tyrese Maxey showed up and chopped it up with Kruk for an inning:

God I love this guy (until the next disgruntled NBA star requests a trade):
Tyrese Maxey was totally unfazed when he heard his name in trade talks.

Greg Luzinski came on and cursed like five seconds in, then did a hilarious call back to Pete Rose from a couple Sundays ago:
Greg Luzinski was on the broadcast for 5 seconds before he dropped a “Shit”
Followed it up with a “Sorry! Pete Rose!” https://t.co/gVJCOOvhEQ

Then Nick Maton became the hero and walked it off in the end… after taking a dump:
