Uncorroborated Video: Cars Vandalized After Union Hammer D.C. United (Again)
I’ve asked around to see if anybody can corroborate this. It’s video from the Union’s weekend trip to Washington, where they hammered D.C. United 6-0:
@dcunited @PhilaUnion @MLS After the DC United v. Philadelphia Union game, Philly fans returned to vehicles vandalized by DC United fans. The vehicles were keyed, mirrors and windows were broken, and their tires were popped. DISGRACEFUL! pic.twitter.com/ZAzNCdyfBd

Here’s a comment from a D.C. fan on the MLS Reddit page:
“I will say those cars were parked in the middle of a known Supporters Section Tailgate spot for all types of DCU Fans. The cars in question were definitely Union Fans. They got told before they parked in that spot by parking attendants and every fan that walked. by that spot. Don’t park here for safety reasons. When we travel to Union Games. We can’t park in certain spots for our own safety.”
Ah yes, the ‘ole blaming the victim routine. They “had it coming” and whatnot.
Gotta say, I’ve never heard of traveling supporters getting their cars vandalized at Subaru Park. I’ve never heard of any areas down there where visitors got their ass kicked or were warned not to go. We’re talking pragmatic Union fans, not some European rivalry game in Belgrade. If D.C. United fans have been asked not to park in certain areas of Subaru Park, then that’s news to me.
Again, I cannot confirm anything in this video, though I hope to. We’re “efforting” more information. What I can confirm is that the Union have now obliterated D.C. United 6-0 and 7-0 this season.
