Pitch Clock and Shift Ban Coming to Major League Baseball

The vote among the competition committee was not unanimous. Players voted against the pitch clock and the shift restrictions.
The vote for larger bases was unanimous.

Let’s go baby. I’m all about this. Anthony probably hates it, since “there’s nothing wrong with baseball,” but who knows? They’ve had the pitch clock in the minors for a bit now, so there’s a sample size of usage that the committee had to examine here. If you fail to chuck the ball before the clock winds down, it goes down as a ball.
Next improvement for the game? Robo ump! Humans don’t need to be calling balls and strikes anymore. Let’s let the computers do this and then everybody except Angel Hernandez will be happy.
