From the school of “more than one thing can be true,” I think we’d all agree that a win can feel great and be sloppy at the same time. In this case, you’ve got a new guy happy to get his first W as a Bird, and veteran knowing they’ve got a lot to work on.

No worries. The Lions were up for that game. The Birds got hit in the mouth, responded with 21 straight points, held a couple of big leads, and did enough to win. It wasn’t beautiful by any stretch of the imagination, but you’ll take a week 1 road win always.

I cannot wait for the Jonathan Gannon discussions this week. Should be fun, and by “fun” I mean it’ll make you want to dive head-first off the Tacony-Palmyra bridge.
