Andrew Porter at Audacy transcribing a portion of a Rob Thomson interview with DeCamara and Ritchie on Tuesday:

“I think that, and we’ll announce official tomorrow, but I think the common sense way to go about it is to have Nola go Game 1 and give Wheeler the extra day rest and have him go Game 2,” Thomson told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Tuesday’s 94WIP Midday Show. “But I’ll talk to those guys a little bit tomorrow and we’ll come up with it.”

There was also this:

Makes sense I guess. Nola only pitched once in the San Diego series and you can get Wheeler an extra day of rest here. What would you do?

On the Astros side, they’ve got Justin Verlander, Framber Valdez, and Lance McCullers Jr. as their top three. Valdez and McCullers have been better than Verlander in the postseason, so kind of an interesting wrinkle there. McCullers went Sunday in the clinching ALCS game and Cristian Javier got the start in Game 3.
