It’s hype video season in The Delaware Valley, so let’s see what the Union cooked up ahead of Thursday’s playoff opener:

That was really well done. Jay Wright’s got a good voice for this kind of thing. I mean shit, if The Rock can voice a main character in a Disney movie (really well, to be honest), then Jay should be considered for Frozen 3 or whatever is in the pipeline.

Wright has been involved with the U in the past. He banged the drum before a game earlier this year and Union head coach Jim Curtin is a Villanova alumnus. There are Union/Nova ties that people might not realize.

Thursday’s game is 8 p.m. on Fox Sports 1. The Phillies are off as the NLCS shifts to Citizens Bank Park, and the Flyers are off as well, so it’ll be Sixers home opener and Union playoffs at 7:30 and 8 p.m. if you wanna go split screen. Saints vs. Cardinals on TNF as well, so keep an eye on the scoreboard as we hope for a NOLA loss. Not Aaron, but New Orleans.

We previewed the game with The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Pat Brennan:
