THE PHILLIES ARE DANCING ON THEIR OWN TO GAME 4!
I was working the sources all week. Are they gonna play Dancing On My Own? Are they not? Phillies fans wanted to know. Then I got a text an hour before the game saying the Phils didn’t approve it:

Deflating. Felt like another moment when Phillies brass and fans were on two opposite ends of the aisle. Then out of nowhere Connor Brogdon closes it down and Dancing On My Own was the first song over the loudspeakers. Before High Hopes! Did I get the old switcheroo? Who knows? Don’t care. This is officially the playoff anthem of the 2022 Phillies!

It was awesome because nobody left for like 10 minutes after the final out. It’s like they wanted to keep the party going all night:

Phillies take Game 3. They are one win away from the NLCS, and as Stubbs predicted, Dancing On My Own is playing at the ballpark: pic.twitter.com/RezmUGBW9H

Don’t worry they went from Dancing On My Own straight into High Hopes. How many teams have that range?
