What more can you say about these guys? They battle back from everything. They overcome adversity. They erase opponent leads. They answer questions about their individual performances. Pretty much every single guy on this roster has stepped it up while the manager pushes all of the right buttons.
It’s insane to go back one month and think about how out of favor this team was after getting swept by the Chicago Cubs as part of a five-game losing streak. People were OUT on this club and shifting full attention to the Birds. They were going to back-in to the playoffs with Milwaukee deciding to stumble down the stretch, but would anyone really give a shit? Now we’ve arrived at October 23rd and this team is a pennant winner, going into the playoffs as the #6 seed.
