The San Diego Chicken Mural Didn't Even Last 24 Hours
The mural of the San Diego chicken kicking the Phillies Phanatic was painted over by random Padres fans:

The controversial @Padres San Diego Chicken mural beating up the #PhilliePhanatic is GONE from the side of Tivoli Bar & Grill.
It comes less than a day after it was put up and just hours before the #NLCS begins.

So much for jinxes. What excuse will Padres fans use now?
Only in California could a chicken kicking a green bird from the Galapagos Islands be controversial. Nothing about San Diego gets my blood pumping for this series. It was easy to hate Cardinals and Braves fans. You gotta reach deep down to your core to hate Padres fans. Everything feels unserious. The crowd Tuesday night, the team, and even the mayor’s bet was corny:
Our @Padres are taking on the @Phillies for the National League Championship.
Hey, @PhillyMayor — how about a wager?
If the #Padres win, you donate to a San Diego non-profit of my choosing. If the Phillies win, I’ll donate to one of yours.
Deal? #NLCS #CaptureTheMoment pic.twitter.com/UtXVYUUkpy

Charity? Do you understand the type of leadership we have in this city? Those funds would be misappropriated by sundown. Send some fish tacos and shut up.
I feel like we’re wasting everyone’s time with this series and this fanbase:
