Jon Morosi basically announced Trea Turner will be headed to the Phillies:
The #Phillies have emerged as favorites to sign Trea Turner. My latest report here. @MLBNetwork pic.twitter.com/PVjw5f6NhP

Trea Turner wants 30Ms a year: Check.
Trea Turner wants to play for a team that trains in Florida: Check.
One interesting note is Morosi said teams want the big money free agents to wrap it up early. Preferably during the Winter Meetings. The Winter Meetings start December 4th and run to the 7th. If Trea Turner isn’t in red pinstripes by then John Middleton will have some explaining to do.
This ain’t your 2008-2011 Phillies folks. This ain’t a roster of homegrown talent. There might be three guys in the starting lineup that came from the farm. Middleton knows he has to compete with the Mets and Braves. He got a little taste of Red October and now he wants the whole meal. The NL East is gonna be an absolute bloodbath next year!
Future 2023 Phillies lineup:
P.S. If it’s not Trea (it is Trea) the Phillies are getting a shortstop no matter what:
Longtime agent: "The Phillies will wind up with one of the (elite) shortstops. That's going to happen." The elite shortstops available in FA: Xander Bogaerts, Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson, Trea Turner.
