Remember my retractable roof take after Game 3 of the World Series got rained out? The backlash I received would weaken a lesser man to go into hiding:

But my take is right. MLB games should never be rained out ever again. Get a retractable roof on your MLB stadium. Same for football. Did you have fun watching Panthers/Falcons in hurricane conditions last night? Me neither. We don’t like retractable roofs because the Snow Bowl is such a core memory for us, but sitting in the rain and snow sucks. I’m not saying it has to be closed all the time either. The Mariners only close theirs 13 times a year. During the MLB playoffs I’ll sit in 40 degree weather. During the Eagles playoffs I’ll sit in colder. I’m talking about when precipitation is a factor. You could still have your Winter Classics, you can still watch concerts under the sun at new CBP in the summer.

Then you can also do this. Wisconsin and Stanford are playing in the Brewers stadium on Friday night. It looks amazing:

Think of how cool something like this would be at CBP. In my opinion, baseball stadiums are more conducive for other sporting events than football stadiums. I hate when the NCAA tournament is at the Superdome. The crowd doesn’t feel right. I rather games be played with fans on top of you. But if you want to play a couple a year on an aircraft carrier or in a baseball stadium you should:
