They'll do Anything but Give the 8-0 Philadelphia Eagles Credit

The Eagles are still undefeated. But they are no juggernaut. They are living on borrowed time. They are not the best team in the NFL, despite their record.
The NFC is wide open.
That's a fact.

Just for some context here, the Eagles came into the season with the easiest strength of schedule based on most data models out there. Nearing the midpoint of the year, their SOS is middle of the pack and they have wins over two of the top four teams in the NFC. You can say what you want about the Cowboys with Cooper Rush and the Vikings allegedly being a fraud, but outside of the Giants, who the Eagles have yet to play, Dallas and Minnesota are the only other six-win teams in the conference.
On the other side of the bracket, the AFC has 6-1 Buffalo and 5-2 Kansas City. Division-leading Tennessee is a total fraud. The Ravens lost to the Giants and God knows what the Bungles are doing at 4-4. The second-tier teams in that conference are better than the second-tier teams in the NFC, but the Bills and Chiefs haven’t exactly looked invincible despite all of us agreeing that they are 1/2/3 in the power rankings with the Eagles, however you wanna slice it up.
Bottom line – there aren’t a lot of great teams in the NFL this season. There is a ton of dreck out there. So if you’re gonna talk about the Eagles being frauds or try to discredit 8-0, a lot of those same arguments have to be applied to other teams, by extension. You can’t shit on the Dallas win if you’re gonna credit Cooper Rush for winning three games in a row, you know what I mean? The haters kind of shoehorn themselves into a corner with blanket arguments that have to apply across the board.
The Birds are 8-0. They’re really good whether people want to recognize it or not. Fuck em! Nobody likes us, we don’t care (unless they make dumb arguments).
