He stays in the division. Praise be, he’ll kill the Mets and Braves while sparing the Phillies.
Segura was a good Phil for four seasons. Just take the McCutchen play and put it in the bagster and pretend it never happened. You go back to the Cardinals series, game one, and if he doesn’t get that 9th inning single to go up 3-2, then the World Series run might not have even happened. He was solid in the playoffs, with big defensive plays and game three against the Padres coming to mind. It was the RBI single to right that put the Phils up 3-1 in that game and 2-1 in the NLCS.
Easy guy to cheer for, Jean Segura:
“We have the same attitude. Philadelphia fans, they let you know when you’re doing good. They let you know when you suck. And right now, we not. So let’s f***** get in there and win!”

Jean Segura was a wonderful Phillies player who I am will remember fondly. Firmly believe that none of the playoff run happens without his base hit in St. Louis. Had some frustrating times, but his best moments were just awesome. Glad we’ll get to acknowledge him soon enough
