Harry Mayes was on Tuesday’s episode of Crossing Broadcast and I asked him who would be in his dream sports radio booth. Would Tony Bruno be in there? What about John DeBella or Jody Mac? How about Joe Younes producing? Here was his answer:

Of course Tony was gonna be in there! What up Mayes? What up Bruno? What up Younes? What uuuuuuup! The last regularly scheduled sports radio programming I would listen to daily was Bruno and Mayes driving back from my internship my junior year of college. That was at the height of Bruno/Mayes and the Josh Innes vs. Mikey Miss wars. It was awesome sports radio at the time and what originally launched RADIO WARS here at the site. Mikey Miss would go to commercial and you’d turn the dial to WIP to see if Innes had anything to say.  Back and forth, back and forth for the entire car ride. It was great for the generation who weren’t around for Howard Stern vs. John DeBella.

Pretty cool to do your job and look back one day and say you couldn’t see yourself doing it with anyone else. Not many people can say that.
